Juanita M. Jenkins

Juanita M. Jenkins is a forward-looking Higher Education administrator with who has had increasing responsibilities working within Higher Education and Social Services for over the past 12 years. Juanita has landed various roles during her 12 year involvement in Higher Education including working within New Student and Family Programs, as a Diversity Facilitator, Academic Advising and Support for First-generation and low-income college students, Instructional & Residential faculty for at-risk middle and high school children within the boarding school setting and as a disabilities support specialist & faculty liaison for probationary college students.

Juanita has also had oversight of paraprofessional student leadership programs, organizational advisory for minority college student leaders and local chapter mobilization for national organizations. She also has experience supervising Master's Level professional staff as well. Within Social Services, Juanita has been a life skills specialist for re-entry adults battling addictive behaviors and has worked with adults with developmental disabilities and children who are diagnosed with ID and MH. Additionally, Juanita has also volunteered with Immigrant and Refugee population in an ESL program.

Juanita has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Slippery Rock University and a Master of Arts degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Graduate Certificate in Diversity Leadership from Temple University. As an adjunct instructor, she has taught Freshmen Seminars and a General Education Course called Tweens and Teens at Temple University. Among her many interests, Juanita enjoys traveling, learning about various cultures, and advocating for women's self-defense through the use of RAD Systems (Instructor) and college students alike, as they pursue their personal & professional goals.
