Juan Leonardo

Juan Leonardo is an admired educator and dedicated community advocate based in Hillside, New Jersey. Throughout the course of his career, Juan has committed himself to bettering his community and empowering children through educational opportunities.

Juan understands that effective teaching and proper guidance can help all students graduate high school, attend college, and improve their quality of life. Hebelieves that all children are capable of success, regardless of their economic background.

Most recently, Juan Leonardo served as the Principal for Walter O. Krumbiegel Middle School. Located in Hillside, New Jersey, Juan played an instrumental role in helping turn the school into a high performing educational institution. He implemented several changes that aimed to keep students in the classroom so that they had a real opportunity to learn.

For Juan, there’s nothing more rewarding then finally seeing the spark in a child’s eye after they realize they are capable of accomplishing their goals. His mission has been to help nurture and grow this desire to learn so that it develops into a personal trait that lasts forever.

Juan Leonardo is currently working toward his Executive Doctor of Education (Ed.D) with a concentration in Learning Retention at Seton Hall University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Teacher Education from Kean University as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Caldwell College.
