When I was a kid, I used to watch community bands march in our street at festivals, funerals, birthdays, and especially, serenatas. I’ve watched every serenatas in our community, and I’ve always been amazed by the sound of the clarinet solo. Through private clarinet lessons, I’ve climbed from being a beginner to being a soloist. If we share the same goal and story, what are you waiting for? Start your journey by applying!

Hey! I’m Juan Miguel Leonardo, a 21-year-old clarinetist, who is delighted to share my journey with you. I’ve been playing the clarinet since I was 13 years old. I started as a beginner, played the 3rd clarinet parts, and now, became the concertmaster in our community band. I played my first solo performance 2 years after joining. I’ve received many invitations from community bands everywhere to play for them.

I started learning the clarinet when my dad suddenly offered to teach me. I didn’t know back then that he was a clarinet player in the community band I was amazed at when I was a kid. My parents thought I was only joining the band as a hobby. But, 5 years later, I decided to study in the Conservatory of Music at the University of Santo Tomas, and became a member of the UST Wind Orchestra and UST Symphony Orchestra. A year later, I became the Principal Clarinetist in both orchestras. I’d like to share with you my knowledge and skills I have acquired for the past 9 years of playing the clarinet.

I believe that sharing my skills and my journey will help everyone to enjoy performing as I do. As a dedicated clarinetist, I’m committed to helping students of all ages and skill levels unlock their musical potential. Are you ready to take the next step on your musical journey?
