Jud Bennett

Basics:

Hello friends, my name is James Judson Bennett, but you can simply call me Jud. To get the basics out of the way, I was born in Valdosta, Georgia and I have lived there all of my life. In the spring of 2011, I found out that I had been accepted into the University of Georgia. Going to UGA has always been a dream of mine, and I jumped at the opportunity to become a student there. Now, of course, my home is Athens, Georgia, but growing up in South Georgia has made me who I am in many ways.

Who I am:

If I had to describe myself in a few words it would be the following: God fearing young man who loves life, sports, and people. As a youngster growing up in South Georgia, going to church on Sunday was always a must. However, my parents never pressured me into believing anything. They simply wanted me to accept certain things for myself. In the summer of 2006, I accepted Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior. Because of my personal relationship with him, my life has been forever changed. I hope that because of my faith people are able to notice something different about me.

I enjoy the everyday adventures of life and interactions with people: the highs, lows, and everything in between. To me, you are only here for a short period of time, so why not enjoy it to the max? Last, sports have always been a huge part of my life; I simply live and breath them. My goal one day is to be involved in some type of job that incorporates my love for sports.

The picture:

My background picture is one that catches my eye every time. This picture was taken in the summer of 2011 at the Iguazu Falls in Brazil. I was blessed to have been able to see these falls twice: once in 2010 and again in 2011. The beauty of these falls cannot be expressed in words. One must see it for itself.
