Judd Bagley

Judd Bagley is a PR professional and technology expert based in Salt Lake City. He currently serves as the Director of Communications for Overstock.com. The company became the first organization to accept bitcoin as currency. Judd took this opportunity to learn everything he could about Bitcoin after assuming his position with Overstock.com. He quickly solidified himself as a thought leader in the field of cryptocurrency.

Judd contributes much of his time to the Medici Project with Overstock.com. In this role, he is tasked with building an alternative stock exchange leveraging the power of decentralized ledgers to dramatically decrease transaction costs and provide near-real time transaction settlement.

Judd Bagley’s true interest lies not only in Bitcoin itself, but in the technology that powers the cryptocurrency. He has a real interest in the potential of an alternate form of currency and uses of Bitcoin technology. There are so many directions the industry could move: Bitcoin could be leveraged to exchange shares of public companies, establish ownership, transfer property titles, and far more. Judd believes Bitcoin technology to be the financial world’s equivalent of the internet: a platform with the potential to build absolutely anything.
