Judith Ibáñez Sánchez

Recently concluding my Master degree in the European program Europhotonics, Photonics Engineering, Nanophotonics and Biophotonics. I have been developing my master thesis in the Astronomy Institute of Mexico City, working in the optical instrumentation department in the Optimization of a Shack-Hartmann Wave-front sensor of an astronomical Adaptive Optics system that will be installed in the largest telescope of Mexico in the National Observatory of San Pedro Mártir.

My background studies are Telecommunication Engineering and Electrical Engineering (the thesis of the latest degree remains pendent due to the concession of the Europhotonics grant that implied travelling). After that I have specialized in Photonics Engineering.

I am looking forward to starting my professional career in the field of Photonics, after having had experience with this field in a wide range of applications such as nanotechnology, astronomy and optical communications and also being familiar with the newest laser technologies and optical benches.

I have taken part in different exchange programs (Germany, France, Hungary and Mexico) within my university years and my work experiences. These experiences taught me to be independent, flexible and ready to face new challenges. I was able to work in teams with people from different countries in several occasions, which I thoroughly enjoy. I am reliable and very committed person, keen and willing to learn.
