Dr. Jude Fabiano, DDS

For over 40 years, Dr. Jude Fabiano has served the people of the Buffalo, New York, area as an accomplished dental professional. After earning his D.D.S. degree from the University at Buffalo and completing of a general practice residency in Buffalo, N.Y., Dr. Jude Fabiano opened a private practice alongside a dental school classmate. He practiced general dentistry for the next 21 years. Dr. Fabiano then joined the faculty of the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine (SDM) in 1999, where he faithfully served its patients and students for 14 years.
While teaching at the university, Dr. Jude Fabiano was responsible for developing two programs, Counseling, Advocacy, Referral Education and Service (CARES) and Buffalo Outrteach and Community Assistance (BOCA).
Dr. Fabiano retired from the University at Buffalo in 2013, starting a career at the dental manufacturing company Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc. He still works there, serving as the Director of Corporate Education.
Through his work in CARES and his private practice, many of Dr. Fabiano's patients were elder and special needs patients, who required unique care. This made the issue of geriatric and special needs dental care a near and dear one to Dr. Jude Fabiano. His personal experiences from his work have led Dr. Fabiano to write numerous peer-reviewed publications on subjects such as managing patients with disabilities and the relationship between dental students and older patients.
When he isn’t busy working, Jude Fabiano enjoys jogging, biking, football, basketball, hockey, fishing, lacrosse and spending time with his wife, six children and twelve grandchildren. Dr. Fabiano has also been involved with numerous community service projects, including the American Heart Association, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) and the American Dental Association. Dr. Jude Fabiano is also an active member of Christ the King Parish, in Amherst, NY.
As you may have guessed from his active hobbies, Dr. Jude Fabiano is a huge sports fan. Growing up in Niagara Falls, New York, (which was a predominantly Italian area) solidified Jude's love for the New York Yankees. As for football, Dr. Fabiano roots for the Buffalo Bills, and he's a Buffalo Sabres fan when it comes to hockey.
