Judith Sheft is the Associate Vice President, Technology & Enterprise Development at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
She is responsible for the development and administration of the Office of Technology Development, overseeing programs, policies and procedures focusing on patent creation, intellectual property valuation, strategic use and protection of IP assets. Judith coordinates sponsored research initiatives with industrial partners and is involved in the establishment of technology commercialization and economic development initiatives. She is responsible for the high technology business incubator (Enterprise Development Center - EDC), HealthIT Connections Program, and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center.
In her time at NJIT, Judith has tripled the number of faculty invention disclosures since 2003 to ~70/year and supported entrepreneurs at EDC companies resulting in their growth at double the rate of the national benchmark companies with a 20% greater likelihood of survival to year 5.
