It's not the fall that hurts. It's when you hit the ground. I was born in a hospital in Manhattan, had a strange child hood and adolecence in Flushing and Glen Oaks respectively that have been trying my whole adult life to forget or at least cope with. It wasn't all bad. I had wonderful friends thoughout and I would not have been able to survive without them, especially my husband.
