As "The Fitness Grammy" it is my goal to keep everybody around me, especially seniors, active, healthy and youthful. I teach both aerobics and yoga. The people in my classes are truly the liveliest most beautiful people in town, and the more they participate the better they are. I have seen people return to classes in weeks after hip surgery, and illnesses. We credit fast recovery to their prior good exercise practices.

Now for my message. Don't Diet! ! Stop eating sugar and flour. They both turn into fat stores in your body, especially around your middle. Also try to stay away from soy. It's Genetically Modified with hormones that your body doesn't need. It also seems to be in most processed foods. Plan your meals around fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, and good protein. You can eat all kinds of Fish, chicken, turkey, even red meat occassionally, oh and eggs are back in the good column. (Oh Wow) You can add whole grains and dairy products if they don't bother your stomach. Also nuts and seeds are good for you. You should eat four or more meals with one requirement: Eat slowly until you are satisfied. Try not to get too hungry so that you want to wolf down anything you see. Learn to enjoy the feeling of being satisfied rather than over stuffed.

And don't forget to drink lots of water, keep on moving, and have a terrific day!!
