Judy Echavez is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, who has worked for CNN & FOX as well as television stations in Miami, New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles. She’s filed worldwide reports for the Weather Channel, ABC, NBC and CBS News. She's contributed stories for NBC Latino and The Examiner. Judy has utilized her reporting and anchoring skills for the big screen, portraying newscaster on many occassions, for both TV & FILM.

In 2008, the Miami native left the Magic City and headed for the City of Angels. Her skills impressed producers and casting directors, which landed her numerous roles. Judy has appeared on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and had a recurring part as Tonya on The Jay Leno Show at 10pm.

In 2013, she was cast on the ABC Family hit show 'Melissa & Joey' and worked as a TV Host stand-in for ABC's 'Splash'. In addition to working on FOX’s The Finder & TOUCH, she shot an episode of ABC’s REVENGE. Her other TV credits include FOX's Lie to Me, Lifetime’s The Amazing Mrs. Novak and CSI:Miami. She was cast as a LA police officer in the feature film End of Watch (2012). Judy has been affiliated with numerous advertisement campaigns, such as Blackberry, Target, Toyota, Toshiba, California’s Energy Efficient Flex Your Power, Qualcomm and more. She’s also appeared on national commercials such as Cascade, which ran in the US and Canada.

Judy’s hobbies include photography, paddleboard surfing and traveling. She enjoys volunteering with organizations to help end poverty in Third World countries and putting a stop to human trafficking in the United States and around the world.
