I am a counselor in Southwestern, NH. I have been providing services to individuals with substance use, mental health and dual diagnoses for the past 18 years. My goal is to empower individuals to live a more fulfilling and enjoyable life.

My therapeutic style is non- confrontational; rather individuals are accepted and not judged. I am a caring and compassionate therapist providing a safe environment that is confidential and secure. The space I provide is soothing, quiet and non-threatening. The building is handicapped accessible. Your confidentiality and privacy are of primary importance.I have been in the behavioral health field for over 18 years. I provide Alcohol, drug and mental health counseling primarily to individuals 18 years of age and older. I am also a Life Coach. My services include individual, couples, family and group counseling. The strategies I use are strengths-based meaning we focus on the strengths you possess. The strategies are Evidenced-based meaning there is research to support the strategies are successful in helping individuals attain and maintain behavior change. The strategies I use are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) where by changing our thoughts we can change our behaviors. I also use Motivational Interviewing (MI) which recognizes that permanent behavior change is difficult and takes time and commitment. Another strategy is Stages of Change where the work meets the individual “where you are” and provides skills to move you forward in your behavior change. I have been trained and certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which provides coping skills to decrease self-harming and other negative behaviors. . I am dually-licensed by the State of NH. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Master-level Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC). I am also a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certified under the US Department of Transportation. I have worked with individuals throughout the lifespan from infancy to end of life. During my under-graduate program I volunteered in suicide prevention, risk assessment and intervention. I was also active in promoting and protecting the rights of Individuals with Disabilities on campus, in the wider community, statewide and nationally.
