Julia Fasce
I just graduated from high school on June 5th. I came from a town where everybody knows everybody.
I run every single day, 4 times a day. It's been a habit for 5 years now, ever since I started cross country and ran track. However, every time I run, I always have a music device at all times.
To many people since I am hearing impaired, my hearing is "broken" to them. But that doesn't stop me from doing what I love to do. And I love music. I play a variety of instruments and through the last four years, I've been in several ensembles, activities, you name it. Instruments I can play, but I'm definitely not limited to, include: Flute, clarinet, alto clarinet, alto sax, pit percussion, and piano. I have even continued on to be in UC marching band, which has given me loads of friends, and it's super fun. Seriously. Band is my life.
I have done Français for 5 years, and I love french and other european cultures. I plan to travel someday.
I know ballet, swing, salsa, and zumba dancing as well. They are all very fun, and some are difficult, but they help me feel better if I'm having a bad day.
Despite common belief, I am not fluent in Sign Language just because I am hearing impaired. But, I did take ASL classes, and can maintain a basic conversation with ASL.
