My research background is in the Sociology of Religion and New Social Movements. In my research I have looked at how communities build social bonds through rituals and religious practises.
Over the past two years I have facilitated rituals which focus upon everything from significant life events to daily life activities. I draw upon a multitude of resources to create meaningful activities for those involved.
Involvement in meaningful rituals can enhance an individual's sense of belonging and attachment as well as facilitate the grief and loss process. Often people desire to note significant events in their lives, I aide people in transforming an event from something 'noteable' to something 'memorable'.
