Hi! I’m Julia Anderson, I am going to be a Junior at Georgia this upcoming year, I transferred last year and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. I started at Bates College, a small D3 school up in Maine where I played both tennis and ice hockey. AND YES I was constantly on the go, and constantly cold, but I loved being a student-athlete and the energy that came with it.

I transferred to UGA because I wanted something bigger, with more people, and more opportunities. Since getting here, I’ve jumped right in. I’m a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and have found such a great group of girls who are always down for anything.

I’m super close with my family—I have two older siblings who keep me laughing and on my toes. Both of my parents went to Georgia, and so I grew up in a house full of energy, so being around people and staying active has always felt natural. I think that is what mainly pushed me to transfer, had to have someone carry on the legacy. I also love trying new things so I wanted to make the most of college life, as we only have 4 years!

Along with that I like to think that I am the kind of person who brings high energy and a big heart to everything I do. I can't wait to return to Athens this fall and see all my friends after this summer break!!
