Author of Top 9 Ethical Issues in Artificial Intelligence, one of the most widely cited popular-audience pieces on AI ethics. Speaker on responsible AI and post-AGI futures at various venues, for instance Harvard Law. Consultant on AI-themed film and media projects (IMDB). Empirical research on how AI systems respond to human rights data (in collaboration with the Human Rights Measurement Initiative) has been presented at NeurIPS.
Currently coordinating AI consciousness research through Sentient Futures, teaching AGI strategy at BlueDot Impact, and researching post-AGI scenarios. Advisor at EON Systems, a mind emulation company.
