I have been telling stories for as long as I can remember. I began writing poems and short stories at the age of seven, discovering early that stories have the power to encourage, challenge, and remind us that hope can be found even in life's darkest seasons. Today I craft character-driven fiction that emphasizes the power of faith, resilience, and second chances.
A resident of East Texas, I live with my husband of nearly forty years and treasure time spent with my children, grandchildren, and an ever-growing collection of cats. When I'm not writing, I develop learning products for a consulting firm, drawing on more than thirteen years of experience in instructional design and adult learning. I hold a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies, a background that has deepened my appreciation for how people learn, grow, and are transformed by meaningful experiences—a perspective that naturally influences my storytelling.
My novels explore ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances, discovering that healing often comes not by escaping life's storms but by walking through them with faith. My stories weave together romance, suspense, and authentic spiritual journeys while celebrating the enduring hope found in God's grace.
My newest novel, Running from the Storm, follows a young teacher seeking a fresh start at a remote mission school in northern Mexico and a construction manager determined to outrun the grief and guilt of his past. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sierra Madre Oriental, the novel explores redemption, forgiveness, and the courage to trust God when the future seems uncertain.
I hope my work encourages others to believe that no life is beyond redemption and that God's grace can bring beauty from even the deepest brokenness.
