Julia Poplawska

Filmmaker and TV journalist living in Warsaw, Poland.

I am native Polish speaking English, Danish and French.

I worked as a correspondent for Newsweek Polska in Denmark from 2002 till 2005. I collaborated with Canal+, Kino Polska Television, TVN and TVP. I made documentary about Tibetans living in Poland - Children of Dalai Lama (2008), an exclusive interview with H.H. Dalai Lama (2009) and a television documentary The Polish Righteous (2008) about Poles who helped Jews during World War II.

I graduated from a documentary course at the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw, making documentary Oh God, dear God (2010). (Best Short Documentary - MiradasDoc 2011, Spain)

From 2006 untill 2012 I collaborated with the Museum of the History of Polish Jews making reportages in Belarus.
