I surrender all to my Lord, Jesus. He has clearly showed me the way even though my stubborn heart constantly requesting for sign, evidence and miracle during suffering. I don’t know how to draw but He insisted that I could and I must get into it. Many years of negotiation nights, I was sort of convinced but did not get too serious. I started traveling to famous museums of the world to get a feel of what are worthy of being collected as treasure of Art. I studied Art and started with drawing grass – one stem of grass. Who will know years later that I now love to draw and I have so much joy of doing it. Now I pay attention to the beauty surround me – from a gigantic tree to a dandy lion, from high mountains to little running creek, from Botanical garden to my own backyard bloom. Just like today, when I was seeking Ocotillo tree around town vainly, I went back home and sat at my desk with disappointment, I opened my window blind as usually but this time was a surprise – I yelled out loud to my husband, “ Do you know.. that proudly stand tree in my front yard. What? That is a 10 feet tall Ocotillo tree in front of us silently standing there for 16 years, we did not even know!!! My God, you are humorous; you sent me to this Ocotillo class for 5 weeks and had me searching for the best looking tree to put on my canvas. Web searching, photos sharing and neighborhood yard viewing…, you let me find myself and my only Ocotillo that is in my front yard. I surrender all, surrender all to Thee. All to thee my blessed savor I surrender all. – September 12, 2009
