Julia Akpan

I'm a 4th generation crochet artist and a self-taught knitter based in the California Bay Area. I started The BackLoop to have a place devoted to knit and crochet accessories for you and your home.

When I'm not surrounded by yarn you'll find me at my day job (media content producer for a publishing company in San Francisco), playing with my kids, teasing my husband or working in the yard (pretty much anything to avoid having to vacuum). After everyone's asleep I spend some quality time with my hooks, my needles, and my yarn.
