Julia Jackson
elementary teacher in Orlando, Florida
My name is Julia Jackson, and I am a 2nd grade teacher at an Orange County Public School. I am looking forward to each wonderful, productive year with the children and make every effort to help my students achieve academically and socially. I desire to work in partnership with parents. It is my goal to create an enriched learning environment that engages each student.
I wanted to take a moment to tell a little about myself. I am from Heidelberg, Germany and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with ESOL and Reading Endorsement from the University of Central Florida. For the past three years, I have worked at the same school as a Kindergarten and Second Grade teacher.
Additionally, I have been a substitute teacher for Orange County, a German language teacher and dance instructor for Elementary school children. I have a passion to teach and love to work with children in creative ways. I am fluent in three languages, English, German and Russian. I have one daughter who is in 3rd grade. I have lived in four countries and love diversity.
I consider it a privilege to work for OCPS and to serve the children and their families of Orange County as an educator. Every year I look forward to meeting the parents and getting to know my students. Parents continue to receive weekly information through the school planner. I ask parents to please check their child’s backpack every day for important school information. Parents and guardians are encouraged to write back with questions, suggestions, or concerns.
