Julia Kozlov

I got involved with all my passions in my tween years thus why today I am so damn busy. My name is Julia Kozlov. I love all the things that I do and the people I get to work with in Vancouver. Watching, creating and being involved in innovation of businesses, products and community development is what keeps me waking up in the morning. I got hooked into creating websites at age 11 which led me to be involved in developing WebTeam, which got me experience and further led me to work as an independent contractor. When demand increased, I consolidated and launched Profile Studio in January, 2012. Since the age of 15 I have also been actively involved in photography and was part of an exhibit for the first time in November, 2011. I can best explain my style of photography as creative photojournalism. Outside of web and photography, I also go to university and have been in school all my life. I am just about to finish my BA in Criminology/Psychology with plans to apply for Law School. I have a huge passion in research and academia around criminal law and criminology. In school I always thought that lectures were not enough. To stimulate my interest, I gained experience working for a major corporate law firm at age 18. I also have been involved as a volunteer for 3 years with the Federal Prison system and the Provincial Criminal Court system. Research wise, I have worked for both an Experimental and Clinical Forensic Psychology Lab collecting data, coding it, running experiments on students as well. To keep health and balance in my life I also got involved in 2 styles of martial arts 3 years ago. Plans for the future involve continuing everything I am doing today, further consolidating it, getting a bigger team involved, and keep creating. I treat every day as an opportunity for progress and enjoy meeting other people who are equally as passionate and forward thinking.
