Julia Smith

I’m a podcast producer, showrunner and consultant based in the Los Angeles area. Over the past dozen years, I’ve made scripted fiction, storytelling, comedy, advice, and interview podcasts for NPR, Stitcher, Spotify, Wondery, QCODE, Earwolf, Team Coco and Maximum Fun. My most recent projects are LeVar Burton Reads (Stitcher), Vote! The Podcast (Vote.org and Spread the Vote), An Oral History of 'The Office' (Propagate Content/Spotify), Inside Conan (Team Coco/Earwolf), Smartr (Team Coco/Luminary), and Bubble (Maximum Fun).

I love both development and the day-to-day production of creative, thoughtful, and ambitious podcasts, and I especially enjoy working with talented creators and hosts who are new to audio. I have extensive experience working with celebrity talent.

In non-pandemic times, I also produce live podcast tapings and events. Always interested in new opportunities in developing/producing/consulting!
