Juliana Son
New York City
New York City, my home town, can probably explain a lot about me. I can be hard to impress, yet am easily awed by nature's beauty. I'm always in a rush, but I'll stop to give you directions. Been there, done that, but always curious.
I think of myself as a perpetual student who yearns to understand everything, who likes to connect the dots. I love those "Aha!" moments. This has allowed me to collect some interesting facts, making me a fun cocktail conversationalist.
So I quench my thirst for knowledge by reading, mostly postcolonial literature, dystopian science fiction, anthropological studies, as well as topics like critical race theory, wars/military history, modernization, and digital cultural productions.
I've taken my dot-connecting skills to Labaton Sucharow, a New York-based law firm, where I am a market research analyst who can translate emerging trends to business opportunities.
