Juliana Tennert
Germany
I know, it's kind of a typically boring way to start a biography: But, hey, my name's Juliana. I'm 19 years old and currently preparing for my future university life.
My spare time I spend mostly drawing and writing. I love to take the beautiful things in life and make something even more beautiful out of them by putting them into every possible form of visual art: Photographs, illustrations, portraits, lithographies ... Occasionally, I'm working on a novel and several short stories, which are - by some people who are not to be named here - considered to be quite serious, even grim, and mostly cover subjects related to love, loss and apocalypse. How I constantly come up with those ideas remains a mystery, even to me.
On top of this I'm fascinated and impressed by everything about cooking and baking, especially when it comes to vegan and Asian cooking.
After a long journey of googling, overthinking and making endless pros and cons lists I came to the conclusion that I want to be an editor, to discover talented writers and help them bring their artworks to life. Because I love reading and the idea of words becoming something strong and powerful that can actually change something in this insane world. Therefore - and because I'm incredibly fascinated by anything concerning Korea - I'm going to study German philology and Korean studies at the Hamburg University, starting this year's winter term.
