Volunteer, Social Media Manager, and Dancer in New Zealand
I’m Julian Bishop, the person behind JB Services, where I bring together a wide range of practical, business and community-focused services across Taupō and the Central North Island.
Until December 2025, I was the Operations Manager of Volunteer Great Lake Taupō, a role that strengthened my passion for community connection, volunteering and helping people find meaningful ways to contribute. I remain involved with the organisation today as a trustee on the board.
My professional background is deliberately varied, with experience across property sales, wealth management, IT, SaaS, operations, marketing and consulting. Those roles have helped shape my strengths in stakeholder engagement, strategic development, project delivery and building practical systems that help organisations work better.
Today, my work spans several areas. Through JB Services, I support people and organisations with property services, project and event management, short-term operational support and digital work. I’m also a VentureX Partner for the Central North Island and the local Taupō representative for Quantum Zero.
Outside of that, I’m the principal instructor behind Basestep Dance Studios and Wedding Dance NZ, and I remain actively involved in a number of community initiatives and events around Taupō.
The common thread through all of it is simple: I enjoy helping people turn ideas, problems and opportunities into something that actually gets done.
