Julian Donato

My name is Julian Donato and I am a student at Ryerson University in the RTA Sport Media program. I am currently working for the university as a member of the broadcast team which covers the varsity athletics at the university. While studying at the university I have had the opportunity to develop my skills in the world of live production. Many of my classes have been a precursor to my current role as a crew member; furthering my knowledge in the technology used for broadcast and the dos and don’ts for a broadcast. My ambition is to one day be a live sports director covering professional sports leagues and teams such as the NHL, NBA and more. My experience with class projects has allowed me to build a foundation and understanding of how the world of broadcast works. This has led me to continue to further my skills with the work I am doing as a broadcast crew member. This is only the beginning for me, as my career is still coming together. I plan to continue to hone my skills in broadcast production and find my way into the professional world and achieve my goal of covering professional sports.
