Julianna Santos
singer and Actor
I've always loved performing even at such a young age of 8. I started choral singing as soon as my mom convinced me, being a former choir member herself. Karaoke was our go-to during family occasions like New Year's Eve or Christmas which just piqued my interest in singing and even more so during my Grade School and High School years as a member of school's chorale in St. Theresa's College Quezon City.
My interest in theater started as an incident when my two-week absence in Grade 8 was caused by a sickness and, well, fortunately, things took a turn of events. I randomly just started watching musicals such as Miss Saigon and The Phantom of the Opera which convinced me that maybe I might have a shot of pursuing theater arts as well.
In 2019, I joined PETA's (Philippine Educational Theater Association) Summer Workshop program for the Teen Theater category where I got to meet other aspiring young theater enthusiasts and took classes three times a week where our teachers, who are also PETA's house, Kuya Johnnie Moran and Kuya Jason Barcial, taught us multiple techniques and exercises pertinent to the field of performing arts.
Since 2021, I have been taking up Bachelor of Music in Music Theater from the UST Conservatory of Music and I'm currently in my 3rd Year and aiming bright to more ventures after graduation. I've also been a member ever since of our beloved Conservatory's ‘Coro Tomasino’.
My thirst for knowledge in my field continues to set fire as I am open to doing gigs such as an open house, performing live theater or film, production, music production, and any other the winds will take me at. As Mr. Keating in Dead Poets Society says, "Carpe diem!"
