I have loved traveling all of my life. A new place paired with something new to learn has always excited me. I love to take unfamiliar settings and experiences as a chance to explore and understand them.

No matter where it is, places far and near have always fascinated me. On my senior trip to Italy with my friends, I learned about the country’s rich history through museums and architecture. When visiting Costa Rica with my family, I was exposed to different forms of cooking and living due to the mountainous terrain. Going to college an hour away from my hometown, showed me how someone who lives near can live an incredibly different life from me than someone who lives a thousand miles away. Everywhere I have ever been, has always taught me something.

I am currently pursuing a journalism major to help me explore the unfamiliar things I am interested in. I am also pursuing a Spanish minor to help me broaden my horizons. I hope to spend a semester abroad to immerse myself in an unfamiliar setting and see how I adapt.

With a passion for travel, I hope to continue to learn more about history, culture, and people throughout my life!
