Julianne Ottersbach

I'm Julianne, and welcome to my about me page! I am a military wife, mother to three, and work at home owner of Starlight Seams. My inspirations are my family. I've got two great sons and a daughter that fill up the hours of my day with smiles, laughter, and (I'll admit) a fair share of stomps and adament "No!'s. My wonderful husband inspires me daily to work harder at being the absolute best version of myself. We've got a sweet, kind hearted golden retriever and a wily, rambunctious husky.

How in the world do I ever have time to get sewing done? I'll let you in on a secret--sewing is my passion. After I graduated from college with a degree in Criminal Justice I realized that any career path involving that field would lack the sparkle and zest that the arts held for me. There is a certain thrill that comes with creating. I'm enthralled with the process of desiging and piecing together my own creations, just as much as I love to sew from a wonderfully designed pattern. I make time to sew because I get such satisfaction from it, and I try to infuse that love into everything I make.
