From the rural farmlands of Michigan, I was raised by my Corporate Pilot Father, and my Home Ec Teacher Mother. As a youngster, I spent equal parts of time playing tea on airplanes parked in the hangar, and weeding the garden. I attended a private Lutheran elementary school, spent a couple years in public school, and spent my high school years away at boarding school.
I grew up and married a Union Traveler, and we had a daughter. After nine years living as a Traveler's Wife, I divorced.
I begun speaking and sharing my story in 2013 as The Traveler's Wife. In 2015, no longer married and with new life experiences, I started Lioness in Training, where I added workshops and weekend retreats that help women get back on their feet after divorce or death.
