Julianne Pepitone
Julianne Pepitone is a writer, reporter and Web producer living in New York City, where she is a staff reporter/associate Web producer at CNNMoney.com. She has written for several national magazines and Web sites, including Esquire.com and Popular Mechanics.
Julianne has also contributed research to a forthcoming book by award-winning author David Friend, the creative director of Vanity Fair magazine. Her work, both journalism and academic, has received several awards.
A profile she co-wrote, about a soldier critically wounded in Afghanistan, won first place in the Rolling Stone College Journalism Competition and first place for in-depth reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists.
She was named one of the top 12 students in her graduating class of 3,200 at Syracuse University, where she earned her degree in magazine journalism and psychology. She attended the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
In addition to writing and reporting, Julianne also loves music, white coats, subcultures and playing the upright bass.
