Aside from the joy I get from spending time with my daughters, fiance', family and friends, I am happiest when painting. I love turning on the IPod with Jazz, Classical or other music, and slip into a zone, where there is nothing but me, the brush and the watercolors before me. When I am mixing colors, I feel like a kid, playing in the sandbox. The possibilities are endless, it's just up to my imagination. It doesn't matter what subject matter I paint, I just love the process. The best thing is when I can bring visual enjoyment and pleasure to another. I am native to Michigan and have done some travels in journey, but still have more places I would love to see, and some where I can go and paint. I love going up to our condo on Crooked Lake in Northern Michigan in the summer months, where we can play on the water, golf and cook for our family and friends. There's nothing better! After a good day, whether it has been spent painting, biking, golfing, spending time with my daughters and Del, I love to end the day with a good book. There's much more of "my book" to write, but enjoying the journey, one chapter at a time.
