Julia Szejnblum

Julia Szejnblum (she/her) is an arts organizer, youth educator, and curator based in New York City. Originally from Buenos Aires, she’s worked in public and non-profit art institutions in Argentina, the Netherlands, and the US. Her expertise includes directing residency programs for contemporary artists, curating exhibitions, developing educational programs, and organizing large-scale events.
Julia is currently the Director of Programming at WORTHLESSSTUDIOS, overseeing artist residencies and exhibitions. She was previously the Director of Visual Arts at the Boston Center for the Arts, where she directed the Mills Gallery, supervised a residency for more than 40 visual artists, and organized the Boston Art Book Fair.
Julia also co-directs Byte Footage, a curatorial project and art festival based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, that investigates Latin American artistic practices of appropriation—exploring how artists repurpose images, sounds, and materials drawn from the Internet's endless archive.
Julia holds an MA in Arts, Culture and Media from the University of Groningen, Netherlands
