The last 15 years I’ve worked in the insurance and nonprofit world after raising a large family. Working on the computer is an activity that brings me joy as well as the ability to complete many tasks. I’ve decided to try a new field (Web Development) for my future work and that has brought me to Francis Tuttle where two of my kids successfully completed programs.

I find that the iPad is the best invention I’ve seen in my lifetime. My daughter calls it a big cell phone but I use it all the time. It’s simple, light and big enough to enjoy especially when traveling. My hands down favorite use though is Facetime with my 3 granddaughters who live on the East coast. With Facetime we share many experiences like opening Christmas and birthday presents, touring their new home, viewing the current weather and some recent school art work. I feel like I am a part of their life because of this simple connection.

I am fortunate to have learned about Hawaiian quilting during a trip to meet our newest grand-girl Ellie. I’m currently working on baby quilts for two of the grand-girls.
