I became interested in dentistry at a young age. Teeth have always fascinated me. I used to collect our pets baby teeth (at least the ones I could find) and save them. ( I know...its weird). While I was still in high school, our family dentist allowed me to observe some of the procedures in his office and WOW! I was hooked!! At his insistence I completed a Dental Assisting and an Expanded Duties Dental Assisting course. I continued to work as a dental assistant for many years, but somehow I always knew I wanted more.

After working full time and completing my pre requisite studies, all while taking care of my three sons and husband, I returned to school in 2009 full time to complete my dental hygiene degree. That accomplishment is one of my proudest moments.

My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is being offered the chance to make a difference in their oral health which has become so important to our overall health. I love the chance to work with a apprehensive patient and have them tell me after the appointment that my care was the most comfortable they have ever been in a dental office.

I am currently looking for a dental hygiene position that would afford me the chance to develop long term relationships within a practice's patient base. I know how difficult it can be for an office to make a change with their dental hygienist, but I can promise that I would become a valuable asset in retaining and recruiting patients. I am a team member that is attentive to detail, organized, time conscious , supportive, and provides high quality dental care.

No hygiene prima donna here.

I truly love what I do, and I think it shows!!
