Julie Simone

Julie Simone is an award-winning director whose debut feature bluegrass music documentary, Fiddlin', has thus far won 15 awards. The film will be released in 2019. Julie is also an actress and writer who grew up on a farm in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia. After attending the University of South Carolina, Julie moved to New York where she studied acting. During this time she also modeled and worked in the restaurant Windows on the World at the top of the World Trade Center. Living between Los Angeles and New York, Julie acted in commercials, videos, film, television and the theater.
