Julie Wong
Editor in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In a career spanning over two decades, this writer, editor, and book producer has gone from writing academic books for the Malaysian, Singapore and Hong Kong markets to copywriting for an ad agency to being editor of magazines of various genres such as motoring, professional, women and fashion, lifestyle and food. For the longest time she has been in journalism, heading up the women’s, lifestyle, features and food sections of a major daily newspaper in Kuala Lumpur, editing stories on gastronomy, environment, expert opinion, issues, beauty, gardening, spaces, interior, et cetera. A regular restaurant critic and gastronomy judge, deliciousness colours her world. When words come together with art, photography and design to tell a compelling story full of emotive, inspiring and textural contrasts is when she is content. She loves books and would like to produce more. Books she has written, edited and produced include:
