Julie Bach

Therapist, Social Work, and Advocate in Toledo, Ohio

Hello, my name is Julie K. Bach. I am a compassionate and trauma-informed social work professional dedicated to helping individuals navigate healing, identity, and emotional wellness in a supportive and affirming environment. Based in Toledo, I approach therapy through a person-centered lens that emphasizes authenticity, safety, cultural awareness, and meaningful human connection.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and identity-related challenges. I am especially passionate about LGBTQIA+ mental health and affirming care, racial socialization within multiracial families, and supporting clients through identity development and life transitions. My work focuses on helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen emotional resilience, and build healthier relationships with both themselves and others.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, empowering, and tailored to each client’s lived experiences and unique goals.

I earned my Master of Social Work and Cannabis Management Certificate from The University of Toledo and completed EMDR and FLASH training through EMDR Cleveland. I have extensive experience supporting underserved and marginalized populations through crisis intervention, behavioral health support, case management, and community advocacy. My therapeutic style is grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural competence, and the belief that healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted without judgment.

Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, identity exploration, relationship challenges, or the emotional weight of everyday life, I strive to create a space where healing feels possible and growth feels sustainable.
