"Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile." -- Mark Twain (not really, but way more interesting than Anonymous!)

Jersey Girl loving southern California -- loving our first grandchild, Benjamin Allen Butcher, born in November 2014 to Steven & Lidia Butcher! So very proud of Steven's work in politics -- the "family business."Matthew's mom RIP #JusticeforMateo #MBMF #POMC

Met Don when he called to fuss about what the "%€*#%ing Union" was doing. We celebrated 25 years this past September, loving & fighting all the way!

Vocation and avocation merged for me when I was hired as a union organizer in 1985. My bad attitude, trouble dealing with authority, propensity to root for whatever team is likely to lose -- and my sincere love of people, especially workers -- kept my work interesting.

I fell in love with city workers -- trash men and traffic officers -- and proudly helped lead the Union's "Privatization Wars" through the 1990's after Richard Riordan was elected Mayor.

Today I'm a proud union retiree! #UnionYRetired

I follow politics some in Los Angeles & Riverside and we've genuinely settled in here and are loving #Riverside! I have a little garden on the patio...
