Julie Culbreth

Currently operating as a Compliance Consultant, Julie Culbreth attended Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island, for her undergraduate studies, where she majored in accounting and minored in law. She is also licensed in FINRA series 7, 24, and 66. She entered the financial-services industry as a Customer Service Representative with EET Boston Financial, which later became Bank of America, where she helped build portfolios including mutual funds, loans, bonds, and insurance products while providing aid to clients as they worked toward short, medium, and long-term objectives. Julie Culbreth also analyzed existing portfolios and exceeded revenue goals by 300 percent.

Julie Culbreth next joined Travelers Life & Annuity as an Investment Analyst, primarily acting as a liaison between the sales department and investment partners while maintaining communication with portfolio management. She developed and implemented multiple marketing campaigns using multiple media, including voicemails and memos, that resulted in an increased market share and broker exposure. Julie Culbreth served as a consultant for competitive analysis research and maintained an understanding of each manager’s competitors and a working knowledge of database technologies. Furthermore, she acted as the firm’s representative during business trips to events, sales meetings, and wholesaler visits.

Most recently, Julie Culbreth operated as the Corporate Ethics and Compliance Auditor with MetLife, which has eight broker dealers and approximately 10,000 brokers. She identified risks associated with variable products, equity suitability, and alternative investments. In order to ensure proper processes, she analyzed documentation and also assisted the Special Investigation Unit. Julie Culbreth is also a Certified Fraud Examiner and has won multiple awards over the course of her career, including the Fleet Bank Leadership Award for Team Development.
