Hi I'm Julie!

I'm currently the Community Manager for petnet.co.uk. PetNet is an online community where pet owners can share, learn and enjoy all aspects of pet ownership.

Before joining petnet.co.uk, I worked in the marketing team at Genius Gluten Free for 2 years. I joined Genius just as they launched and so experienced the rapid growth of a great brand right from the beginning.

Although my academic background is in Psychology, which I studied at the University of Edinburgh, I have worked in marketing for the last 6 years. I love all apsects of marketing, especially understanding why consumers do what they do, but have a particular interest in the wonderful world of digital. I'm fascinated by all things digital, including social media and of course, online community management. Also a bit of a self confessed geek for getting excited over statistics and number facts, especially when it comes to the incredible explosion of social media and the looking at future trends.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, seeing friends, shopping and walking my gorgeous (but slightly intellectually challenged....) Tibetian Terrier, Alfie!
