Julie LaBenz

I guess I was destined to be an attorney, but in my mind I felt I had stumbled into the profession.

Looking back . . . joining the speech and debate team in high school (and placing in a pretty big debate competition) and then majoring in political science, probably should have made my set career path pretty clear.

Yet, even if I'd had a set vision to become a lawyer, I never could have imagined the actual path my legal career would take.

Over time I became a small town trial attorney with a general law practice, giving me the opportunity to handle all sorts of diverse cases and enjoy legal victories that prove lawyers have special skills and knowledge that can have significant, positive impacts on individuals and society.

My experience in the courtroom, however, also taught me how complicated the law and court system can be, and that too many people either don't have the money or struggle to afford to hire an attorney. I found this reality troubling as many of life's common problems trigger some sort of law and court process.

In an effort to fill the information gap and provide a new tool to help people interact with and utilize our court system, I created the CASE CLOSED Arizona DIY Divorce & Child Custody System, a legal information product that walks parents through the divorce and child custody court process, forms and laws in an effort to help parents achieve more successful, winning results with their case .
