Julie Luhrsen

Partner at the Luhrsen Law Group, based in Sarasota, Florida, attorney Julie Luhrsen concentrates her legal practice in personal injury law. Bringing her years of trial experience to bear, Julie Luhrsen advocates on behalf of seriously injured individuals throughout Florida. As a leading member of the firm's team of attorneys, case managers, paralegals, and legal support staff, Julie Luhrsen handles cases including animal attacks, injuries caused by defects in property conditions, and accidents involving cars, motorcycles, and trucks. A particular area of expertise for Julie Luhrsen and her firm is the litigation of cases involving drunk driving collisions. Julie Luhrsen works directly with clients at all stages of their cases--whether their cases resolve presuit or go all the way to trial. Reaching terms favorable to clients in order to fairly compensate them for their injuries is her ultimate goal. Julie Luhrsen's attraction to the law, and in particular to helping the injured, grew out of her post-college experience working as a paralegal at a prominent products liability firm. From that experience, she became intent on becoming an attorney. Julie Luhrsen earned her law degree from the University of Richmond T. C. Williams School of Law, graduating fourth in her class, cum laude, and a member of the McNeill Law Honor Society. She then spent eight years on active duty as a member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps for the U.S. Army, where she tried numerous courts-martial, both as a prosecutor and as a criminal defense attorney. The American Bar Association awarded Julie Luhrsen its Legal Assistance for Military Personnel (LAMP) Legal Assistance Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding work following Hurricane Andrew. In 1999, she left active duty and began practicing personal injury law on behalf of injured Floridians.
