Although she may live in Washington, D.C., you can most frequently find Julie Rufo venturing around the globe, taking in new experiences, and capturing every moment with her camera. Julie is a freelance photographer who has been sharpening her skill set since high school, when a friend asked her to take her family's portraits. Rather than take the typical, posed approach to these photos, Julie decided to snap some candids of her subjects between poses. When the photoshoot concluded, she and her friend found that they liked the unplanned photos the best — and this has remained Julie's approach to photography ever since.
