Julieta Ortiz

EN-ES Translator and Game localizer in Mendoza, Argentina

Hello, there! My name is Julieta and I am an English-Spanish Translator and Videogame Localizer. I studied translation at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), where I was trained in legal, scientific, and technical translation.

As I am passionate about translation and interested in technology and gaming, I decided to train myself in the field of localization (games, apps and websites) to combine my profession with my hobbies.

In 2017, I participated in LocJam, a videogame translation contest, where I localized an RPG videogame into Spanish. In my free time, I have also translated mods/addons for well-known games such as Minecraft and World of Warcraft; and learnt QA Testing softwares such as Bugzilla and Jira.
