Juliette Lloyd

sport psychologist in London, United Kingdom

The role of a sport psychologist is to help their client to navigate the rollercoaster of sport: to embrace the highs whilst accepting, coping and learning from the lows. I work with my clients to examine current self, strengths and challenges. We collaborate to find powerful ways forward by increasing self-knowledge, enhancing coping skills and learning effective tools and techniques designed to grow both performance and person.

My experiences as an international rower and coach sparked my passion for psychology and the impact that the mind can have on performance. My roles at the English Institute of Sport (2003-2012) afforded me an in-depth insight into the world of elite sport as I worked with athletes, coaches and support staff in a range of different sports.

Since then I have worked as a self-employed psychologist with individuals and groups at all levels. My goal is to help my clients harness the power of their mind so that it works for them and not against them in whatever they do.

I love my job as a sport psychologist which I combine with my role as mother to two young boys. I walk, run and swim outdoors as much as possible and am a passionate advocate of increasing participation in sport and exercise.
