Julie Ziemelis
Julie Ziemelis founded Ziemelis PR/Events/Marketing in 2004, (changing the company name to Ziemelis Communications in 2011) and currently provides social media training, media relations, content creation, and consulting and promotion for event productions. She is a connector and revels in bringing people together for the benefit of causes, business and personal relationship building.
Julie got her start working in a public relations agency in the SF Bay Area in 1992. She has gravitated towards real estate clients and has implemented dozens of educational and fundraising events over the past 20 years, helping to raise over $250,000 for housing-related non-profits. She also created the social media education program at the San Mateo County Association of REALTORS in 2009 and helped develop two REBarCamps (open forum social media education conferences) and was the founder of TechConKona in 2012.
Julie has been the Communications Director for four different real estate associations in the Bay Area from 1998-2011, as well as taking on consulting projects through her own company. As an initiator, Julie created housing expos, technology conferences, fundraisers and tradeshows, and most recently created the inaugural Big Island Chocolate Festival and TechConKona.
Speaking/Training- Julie was a presenter for the "Social Media Boot Camp for Small Business" series offered by NEHLA in 2011, provided social media training to Hawaii Life Real Estate and members of the West Hawaii Assoc of Realtors and was chosen to present at the Inman News "Real Estate Connect" conference in NY in 2012.
As a blogger, Julie created both the Digital Real Estate Marketing Tips and "Realtor TIps-Marketing Ideas Using New Media" Facebook blogs, the 365Kona blog and the 365 Things To Do In Kona blog on Facebook.
She is a proven and successful "starter" of unique and exciting events and programs to educate and connect people. Her marketing and promotion expertise within traditional media and social media get the word out and people talking.
