Julio Longo

Julio Longo is a top 10 (out of 30) graduated in Materials Engineering at the UFSC – Brazil. Julio finished his Master in Materials Science at the TUHH – Germany and the UA – Portugal, his thesis was focused on the technical and economical alternatives of carbon nanotubes and photochromic compounds in the cement mortar, developed in a partnership between the universities and the Weber Cimenfix – Saint Gobain Company.

He also studied Organisation and Strategic Management at the LSE – UK. Previous to this role, he worked (internship) for 5 different companies in Brazil (e.g. Roca and Whirlpool) basically in areas such as project, development as well as the quality control of new products.

Julio worked for Samatex in strategic management resulting in a joint venture with a large company in the same core business. Nowadays Julio is working in partnership with Presse Comunica in social media strategies; besides, Julio is enrolled in a series of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship programs of the Brazilian government; those related with social cases, stock exchange and IT.
