I'm a social entrepreneur with a history of living in places you only read on the news: war-torn countries, earthquake-stricken cities, hurricane-wrecked islands, refugee camps, urban slums, crime capitals... Out of my passion to fight for inclusivity, a penchant for the extraordinary, and the need to check my privilege -- not to merely serve my flair for the dramatic.

In my lifetime, I have worked as an activist, a psychologist, a journalist, a visual artist, a film publicist, a poet, a chef, a travel writer, a photographer, an aid worker...

In many ways I am still all of those things.
